Bruno’s Art & Sculpture Garden

A whimsical rainforest gallery shaped by resilience and imagination

Tucked within the lush rainforest of Marysville, Bruno’s Art & Sculpture Garden is one of the region’s most distinctive and heartfelt attractions. Created by sculptor and painter Bruno Torfs, the garden is home to hundreds of original clay sculptures, each hand-crafted and fired onsite in his kiln. Wander along winding paths and you’ll discover mythical creatures, gentle faces and fantastical characters emerging from the greenery, each piece shaped by Bruno’s travels and imagination.

A story of loss and renewal

In February 2009, bushfire swept through Marysville, destroying Bruno’s home and gallery along with much of the township. Although the devastation was immense, Bruno and his family survived. Choosing to remain in Marysville, he began the long process of rebuilding both his home and the sculpture garden.

Today, the garden stands not only as a creative sanctuary but also as a powerful symbol of resilience. Many of the sculptures you see have been lovingly recreated, alongside new works that reflect both loss and renewal.

Located just a short stroll from Peppers Marysville, Bruno’s Art & Sculpture Garden offers a meaningful and memorable outing for couples, families and art lovers alike. Allow time to wander slowly, take in the detail and reflect on the story woven into every piece.
