Shedfest 2026 | Yarra Valley Wine Festival
A spring weekend of cool-climate wines, family-run wineries and Yarra Valley cellar door experiences
Shedfest returns this October, bringing wine lovers into the Yarra Valley for a weekend of tastings, food, live music and relaxed cellar door discovery across more than a dozen family-run wineries.
Now celebrating 23 years, Shedfest has become one of the region’s best-known wine weekends, giving visitors the chance to explore a wide mix of winery experiences under the one event ticket. Across the two days, participating venues open their doors for tastings, entertainment and special festival atmosphere, with each winery bringing its own style, food offering and sense of place.
The focus is firmly on cool-climate Yarra Valley wines, but Shedfest is designed to feel broader than a standard tasting trail. Alongside wine, guests can expect live music, good food and a mix of activities across the weekend, from lawn games and frozen cocktails to petting zoos and other family-friendly touches. With many venues also welcoming dogs, it is an event that lends itself to a more relaxed day out with friends, couples and groups making the most of spring in the valley.
What to expect across the weekend
The event runs from 11am to 5pm on both days, with a flat $35 entry ticket giving access to tastings at all participating wineries across one or both days. Earlybird tickets are also available with a 10% saving until 1 October.
Food is part of the appeal as much as the wine, with each winery offering its own menu of festival dishes priced under $25. Across the trail, that can mean anything from smoked meats, bao buns and gourmet pies to pizzas, cheese platters, hearty burgers and classic Italian fare. Most venues also cater for children and guests with dietary requirements, making the event accessible for a broad mix of visitors.
Throughout the weekend, guests can also purchase wines by the glass or bottle, with Shedfest cellar door specials available exclusively during the event.
A Yarra Valley wine weekend from Marysville
For guests staying at Peppers Marysville, Shedfest offers an easy way to spend the day in the Yarra Valley before returning to a quieter base in Marysville. It suits those wanting to pair a spring wine event with a more regional stay, rather than staying in the middle of the cellar door trail itself.
If you are planning to enjoy tastings across multiple wineries, it is worth organising a designated driver or transport ahead of time so the day can unfold more easily.
